In this project, I explore the positive psychological and sociocultural aspects of self-isolating and social-distancing. "Up-rising" indicates a recovery process from codependency and dysfunctional reactions. The title also suggests the idea of deprogramming oneself from mind control such as oppressing values and stereotypical beliefs through catharsis and spiritual progress for then letting the subconscious mind reprogram itself. Instead of unconsciously reacting to a suffering attitude and exhausted lifestyle, I propose to raise consciousness to make better choices and to feel connected with spiritual sources as well as being in balance and harmony with the cosmos.

In my process, I reused forgotten objects to repurpose them in an egalitarian manner and to connect them in new ways. I investigated the balance between natural and artificial materials to consider environmental issues and sustainability using the historical layers of the items. I raised questions about the value of objects in contemporary systems.
