Ai Ikeda is a Japanese artist from Nara, Japan. This website shows her works of the last decade. She studied art in the Kanazawa College of Art in Japan. She also studied and lived for a while in Margate in UK, Berlin in Germany, and Montreal in Canada.

The purpose of her art is to express her vision about Japanese nature and culture. With her artworks, she seeks to grasp the vital connection between human beings and its natural environments. As a Japanese living currently in a global world, her art is dedicated to reach harmony with nature, as well as to fill the gap between the traditional and the modern, the local and the global.
